Please see the below note from Diabetes Advocacy in Canada:Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! Thank you to everyone who wrote to the Ministers of Finance and National Revenue! Thank you for helping us make Recommendation 2.5 a reality! Last night's budget saw the Honorable Minister Ralph Goodale acknowledge the work of the Technical Advisory Committee and state that the government would be implementing most of the Tax Fairness Report's recommendations. Today I was told that Recommendation 2.5 was something that this government WILL be implementing!!!
We have won the war!!!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support! I am overwhelmed by this victory. Please join me in sending our thanks to the Ministers. We bombarded them with our request, now let us please show them our gratitude with letters of thanks. These can simply be addressed to Minister Goodale and Minister McCallum.
Thank you again! If you would like more detailed information on what this recommendation means, please email me and I will forward on details as they become available.
With gratitude to you all;
Barb Marche
