Quinte Insulin Pumpers Meeting, December, 2004

On Wednesday, December 15, 2004, approximately eighteen persons with diabetes
and their support persons concerned with the delivery of insulin by means of
insulin pumps gathered at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 516 Victoria Avenue,
Belleville Ontario, 7:00-9:00 pm.

Exchanges of tips and words of encouragement took place over a potluck dinner
with hearty winter casseroles and other dishes including desserts with limited
carbohydrates.

There was general agreement that the alarm system on the Medtronic 508 was the
most effective.

Tokens of appreciation were presented to Nancy Stafford, Louise Marinier and
Joan Coyea.

Coming Events

Wednesday, January 19, 2005, 7:00-9:00 pm: Regular Meeting at Holy Trinity
Church with a representative of Disetronic as guest speaker. Heather Gammage
will be accepting all money raised on behalf of her Canadian Diabetes
Association marathon run and fund-raiser.

Sunday, February 27, 2005 3:00-4:00 pm: Skating Party at Trenton Memorial
Gardens.
